Miami International Wine Fair guide
Held every year at the Miami Beach Convention Centre over an extensive exhibit space of over eight five thousand square metres, Miami International Wine Fair is one of the largest wine fairs held in the United States and the worldwide.
One of the main reasons for the popularity of the Miami International Wine Fair is because its displays as many as 1500 different varieties of wine from over five hundred wineries situated all over the world. Importers, retailers and wine enthusiasts flock to the Miami International Wine Fair in an effort to keep abreast of the latest flavours and innovations within the wine industry.
Sponsored by Iberwine and Wines of France, some of the international wines on display at the fair are of Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Australian and Canadian origins.
Buyers from the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Canada make their presence felt at the fair and organisers arrange meetings between interested buyers and distributors in an effort to create more business relations within the industry. Thousands of such meetings are arranged and as a result tens of thousands of cases of wine get sold every year at the Miami International Wine Fair.
More than twenty of Florida’s best restaurants also have a role to play at the Miami International Wine Fair, providing some of their finest culinary masterpieces in accompaniment to the wide range of wines on offer.
Visitors will find that gaining entry to the two day event will cost them a little over a hundred dollars; however, entry to the event is complimentary to wine retailers and distributors.
