The glorious weather in Miami is one of the major factors in the popularity of the city as a family destination. Miami Science Museum
This is the type of attraction where the kids will be amazed by the exhibits without really caring why the things that are happening are occurring, whilst the parent can enjoy 
expanding your knowledge of science and the earth. There are a number of interactive shows throughout the day or you can simply walk around and enjoy the separate exhibits of your own accord. There is also a birds of prey and reptile centre at the same site.
Monkey Jungle, Miami
Monkeys are one of the most fun and enjoyable animals to be around, so the chance to actually be in amongst them in a controlled environment should not be missed. The monkeys have a large area in which to live and the controlled walkways enable you to experience their day-to-day activities in a safe manner. There are other features to this park which create a well rounded experience, including a parrot park and a large collection of fossils.
Jungle Island in Miami
This is a zoo experience with a twist. There are not as many different species as you can experience at a zoo but for the species that there are you can gain a much more intimate experience. The animals which live here include twin orang-utans, lemurs, penguins and kangaroos, all of whom participate in daily shows.

The beaches in Miami are amongst the most sandy and luxurious in the United States. There are miles of exquisite coastline of you to enjoy whilst the sea is clear and warm, perfect for a paddle with the kids. There are also a range of sea and beach activities which can be enjoyed.
Everglades Safari Park
You can take a boat trip along the river through the heart of Everglades National Park in the hope of spotting an alligator. If you are not successful in spotting one perhaps you could take in an alligator show or perhaps take a relaxing stroll along one of the winding paths, taking in the sunshine and glorious landscape.
