Coconut Grove is one of the most popular parts of of Miami and attracts visitors looking for its great shopping, excellent restaurants and fresh food. There are also many top-notch hotels and vacation rentals in the area and tourists will have a great time looking at all the sights without having to venture too far from their hotels.
Coconut Grove is home to many famous art galleries and landmarks. The renowned Coconut Grove Playhouse, a well-known Florida landmark, is also located here and it has been the venue for many successful plays and theatre shows.
Coconut Grove is also a bustling nightlife hotspot with many modern bars and upscale
nightclubs located in the area. The Kampong, a beautiful tropical garden, is also located in Coconut Grove and is owned and run by the National Tropical Botanical Garden.
Biscayne Bay, which is a popular boating destination, is situated in the southern end of Coconut Grove. This beachside community is home to the Coral Reef Yacht Club, the Coconut Grove Sailing Club and many other nautical attractions.
The Dinner Key Marina can also be found in this area along with the Barnacle Historic State Park. This park is home to one of the oldest buildings in Miami and is the former residence of Ralph Middleton Munroe. The Munroe residence is a beautiful example of early 1800’s architecture complete with period furniture and large porches that offer a scenic view of its surroundings. A wooded area surrounds the picturesque house and there are many picnic areas scattered throughout the park where visitors can spend a relaxing afternoon.
